What to binge watch on Netflix this weekend

SAN ANTONIO – We’ve finally got a few days of sun in the forecast but this weekend is looking like more rain is on the way.

If you’re a Netflix-fiend you might be out of show ideas but there’s some fresh content coming out this weekend you might want to check out.

Netflix is releasing two new original series, a documentary, a hit Sundance film and a family-friendly animated series.

The following will be available to watch Friday:

Maniac

“Maniac” is a new show featuring Jonah Hill and Emma Stone and centers around two strangers who get caught up in a pharmaceutical trial gone awry, according to Netflix.

Other notable actors who appear in the 10-episode, dark comedy are Justin Theroux, Sally Field, Julia Garner and Jemima Kirke.

Private Life

“Private Life” details the struggle of infertility between a couple played by Kathryn Hahn and Paul Giamatti.

The movie was a hit at Sundance and has a 94 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Quincy

“Quincy” is a documentary detailing the life of Quincy Jones, a 79-time Grammy Award nominee.

The documentary was directed by Jones’ daughter Rashida Jones, known for her role as Ann Perkins in “Parks and Recreation.”

Hilda

If you’re looking for something more kid-friendly then you might want to check out “Hilda.”

The animated story follows a blue-haired girl who finds new friends and magical creatures when she leaves her home in an enchanted forest and journeys to the city, according to Netflix.

The Good Cop

“The Good Cop” is a new Netflix Original series starring Tony Danza and Josh Groban.

This series is a lighthearted, crime, comedy, drama centered around a pathologically honest detective who tries to keep an eye on crooked but kindhearted dad, according to Netflix.
