1 dead, 1 wounded in shooting in NE Bexar County

Shooting occurred in 7100 block of Glen Heights

SAN ANTONIO – One man was killed and another was critically wounded in a shooting early Thursday in far Northeast Bexar County.

The shooting was reported around 3:15 a.m. in the 7100 block of Glen Heights.

Bexar County deputies said they found blood and shell casings up and down the street, suggesting that a possible gun battle took place.

The wounded victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center.

A neighbor who didn't want to be identified said he was watching a movie when he heard the gunshots.

"I got on the floor," he said.

Sheriff's officials are looking for a green Ford F-150 King Ranch pickup truck with Texas license plate number DWY6154, which is believed to be tied to the shooting. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call 210-335-TIPS (8477) or 210-335-6082.
