2 found tied up following home invasion deputies say is likely 'drug-related'

Suspects ran from scene, left SUV behind

SAN ANTONIO – Deputies continue their search for three men they said broke into a Northeast Side home early Sunday morning and tied up two people inside as they stole items from the home.

Deputies were called to a home in the 8000 block of Chestnut Bluff near Highway 78 and Walzem Road for the home invasion.

According to deputies, three men tied up a man and woman inside while they ransacked the place and loaded their vehicle with items from the home.

At 4:30 a.m., two other homeowners arrived, saw the men in their home and called police. That's when the suspects ran from the home on foot, leaving their SUV behind.

When deputies arrived, they began to search for the men with the help of Converse. The suspected robbers have not been caught.

The man and woman who tied up were not injured. They were taken in for questioning. Deputies said this is most likely drug-related.
