2 injured in suspected DWI crash

One victim critically injured; pickup truck crashes into Suburban parked on shou

SAN ANTONIO – Two people were injured late Friday night in a suspected DWI crash on the city's near South Side.

Police said a Ford F-250 rear-ended a Chevrolet Suburban that was parked on the shoulder of Interstate 10 West near Interstate 37 South. The Suburban crashed into a stalled car.

The driver of the pickup was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition. A passenger in the Suburban was taken to University Hospital in an undetermined condition.

The pickup truck driver is expected to face DWI charges, police said. Additional charges may be filed depending how seriously the woman was injured.
