SAN ANTONIO – Three men were found dead of apparent gunshot wounds at an apartment complex Tuesday afternoon on the city's North Side.
San Antonio police Chief William McManus said a passerby looked inside a closed sliding door and noticed two men lying on the floor of a unit at La Paloma Apartments at 102 W. Rampart Drive.
When EMS and police arrive, they found another body, McManus said.
The victims appear to be in their 20s or early 30s, and one of them is believed to be a resident, McManus said.
“I'm not too surprised, to be honest with you. My brother use to live over there and from what he's told me there was always cops going in and out," Raphael Serna said, who lives nearby.
As of Monday evening, police were waiting on a warrant to search the apartment for evidence.
McManus said it appears the incident probably happened around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
"I just want to make sure that my place is safe," resident Anthony Mathis said.
San Antonio police doesn't believe the shooting was random, but is still investigating.
"We don't know much more than that right now," McManus said.
