The training academy off Gillette Blvd, will be a mutually beneficial change for SAISD and the BCSO.
"This will actually help us prevent this building from sitting here empty, subject to potential crime to now being utilized in the community. We're able to use it, we're able to provide our deputies brick and mortar and a secure place to learn as well," BCSO spokesman James Keith said.
Switching to the new facility from the trailers will provide three times the amount of space and cost less money.
