According to a police report, the victim told police Hernandez had been living at his home for about two days.

He said he was asleep when Hernandez started hitting him in the face and then tied his wrists together with duct tape and rope.

Hernandez took the man's jewelry, two Bluetooth speakers, a cellphone, two knives, a passport, a Mexican Identification Card, car keys and his wallet, the police report states.

The victim told police Hernandez used his cell phone to call a woman who also lives at the home and told her to go back there.

He said he was able to break out of the restraints, but that Hernandez knocked him out when he tried to get away. He later woke up lying on the ground with his hands and feet tied up.

When the woman finally arrived, the man said Hernandez threatened her with a knife and told her to get on the ground.

According to the report, Hernandez tried to kidnap the man with the intent to cause bodily injury, but the woman stopped him before they left.

The man told police he was able to free himself for a second time after the woman ran into a bedroom, where Hernandez threatened her with a pellet rifle.

When he confronted Hernandez, that's when the man said he was nearly stabbed by Hernandez who was holding one of the stolen knives.

The man said he was able to push Hernandez and run outside to tell neighbors to call the police.

Hernandez has been charged with aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.

His bail has been set at $150,000.
