SAN ANTONIO – The Salvation Army San Antonio Area Command is under new leadership for the first time in five years.
Majors Rob and Carolynn Webb were formally introduced Tuesday at Woodlawn Park, where they treated some children from the Peacock Boys and Girls Club to a day of fishing.

The Webbs come from Tampa, Florida, where they previously worked in the organization's divisional headquarters.
Salvation Army officers, who are ordained ministers, are moved to different cities across the country every two to five years, in a manner similar to the way military service members regularly change location.
The new majors reported for duty in San Antonio on June 21.
"We are looking forward to get to know the community, our donors, supports and partners that we have here with the Salvation Army and getting to know them and introducing them to what the Salvation Army does," Maj. Carolynn Webb said
She said there are no major changes planned for the Salvation Army and they plan to continue and strengthen the path set by the previous leadership.
