SAN ANTONIO – A craving for a fried treat led to a bakery robbery on the city's East Side.
San Antonio police said Roy Thomas Walton admitted to robbing the Las Palmas Bakery earlier this week. They said he entered the bakery pretending to be a customer and asked for a doughnut.

While the employee grabbed the doughnut, Walton pulled out his gun and demanded cash, police said.
Once he emptied out the register, he took off running.
Officers were responding to another robbery Friday. They recognized Walton and arrested him.
Walton admitted to robbing the bakery and to three other robberies. He is charged with aggravated robbery.
