SAN ANTONIO – A man was shot in the back with a shotgun Friday afternoon on the city's South Side.
Police said the man was driving a car in the 1300 block of San Casimiro when he got into an argument with a pedestrian.
"We're getting a little information that these individuals may have known each other. Their may have been some past history as far as a dispute," San Antonio police spokesman Officer Doug Greene said.
The pedestrian ran into a home and grabbed a shotgun and opened fire on the driver, police said.
"We do have one individual detained. We are interviewing that individual to find out their involvement we also have several other people detained as well," Greene said.
The victim, who suffered a back wound, drove down the street to ask for help and collapsed, police said.
He was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made.
