Friend drives 16-year-old with gunshot wound to fire station

SAN ANTONIO – Police are investigating after a 16-year-old was taken to a fire station on the West Side with a gunshot wound to his thigh.

The teen's friend drove him to San Antonio Fire Station No. 33 around 5 p.m. Saturday.

When police questioned the teen and his friend, they told authorities the shooting happened at another location, but police didn't find a crime scene.

The victim said he wasn't sure who shot him, and neighbors did not report hearing any gunfire.

Police said the teen's injury is non-life-threatening.
