SAN ANTONIO – The chairman and CEO of H-E-B, Charles Butt, will donate $1 million to revitalize an East Side park.
The donation will be made a ceremony on Wednesday. Butt will be joined by Mayor Ivy Taylor, Councilman Alan Warrick and County Judge Nelson Wolff.

The city of San Antonio has recommended that Lincoln Park on East Commerce Street get $1 million from the city’s proposed 2017 bond program. Butt’s donation will be a matching pledge.
During the announcement, potential park improvements and illustrations from students depicting their “dream park” will be displayed.
The city of San Antonio is expected to vote on a nearly $750 million bond in May 2017.
If approved by voters, construction would be completed by summer 2018, in time for the city’s tricentennial celebration.
