SAN ANOTNIO – A San Antonio jury found Daniel Garza guilty of murder on Wednesday in the May 2014 barroom killing of Miguel Vasquez.
Garza, 40, was among dozens of patrons involved in a bar brawl at the Greenhouse Rooftop Garden club on May 17, 2014.

A bartender testified Tuesday that she saw Garza pull a gun and shoot Vasquez, 26, during the melee.
Vasquez died of a single gunshot to the chest.
Garza was arrested in the club parking lot minutes after the shooting. A pistol was found near his car as he tried to leave.
The state rested its case late Wednesday morning. Garza's attorneys rested without calling any witnesses.
Testimony in the punishment phase of the trial begins Thursday. Garza faces a maximum of life in prison.
