Man's body found in stock tank in Kyle

Body badly decomposed; Hays County Sheriff's Office needs help identifying man

SAN MARCOS, Texas – The badly decomposed body of a man was found floating in a stock tank Thursday in Kyle, the Hays County Sheriff’s Office said.

The discovery was made around 8 p.m. in the 1500 block of Cotton Gin Road.

Sheriff's officials said they need help identifying the man, who they believe died about a month ago. The cause of death is not known.

The man was Hispanic and 5 feet 6 inches tall. He appeared to have a tattoo between his shoulder blades that is partially visible with the last two letters possibly being "RO" in script lettering.

He had no dental work.

The man was wearing a black Polo shirt engraved with “Grand Slam.”

He was wearing Airwalk camouflage cargo shorts with a black canvas belt,  blue boxers and white Fila tennis shoes. He had a black Puma ankle sock on his right foot.
