Ninth arrest made in human trafficking bust

Gabriel De La O rented rooms for prostitutes, authorities say

SAN ANTONIO – Law enforcement authorities have made a ninth arrest in connection with a human trafficking ring.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Gabriel De La O, 33, worked at one of the hotels where prostitutes had sex with clients and used his employee discount to rent out rooms.

De La O is charged with trafficking of a child and trafficking of a person.

Also arrested after a four-month multi-agency investigation were Daimien Garcia, 27, of San Antonio. He is charged with trafficking a child, trafficking a person and sexual assault of a child.

Elizabeth Martinez, 31, of San Antonio, was charged with one count of compelling prostitution of a minor.

Jose Gonzales, 35; Cody Flores, 24; Christopher Ramon, 23; and Lee Atherton, 39, all of San Antonio, are charged with prostitution.
