SAN ANTONIO – A man who was struck by a Bexar County Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle has died.
BCSO spokesman James Keith said the victim, Lawrence Kindel, died around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at University Hospital.

Kindel was walking on Donop Road near Old Corpus Christi Road around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, when a deputy, who was looking at a car, hit Kindel.
Keith said the fatality appears to be an accident and the deputy is not expected to face disciplinary action.
Contributing factors to the accident were no lights and no sidewalk, Keith said.
