SAN ANTONIO – Authorities have arrested a 38-year-old man accused of stealing a dog from a city shelter just 24 hours after Animal Care Services released a surveillance photo of the suspect.
Kenneth Lamicq, 38, is charged with felony theft under $2,500.

ACS had released photos of the suspect Thursday on Facebook, netting more than 125,000 views.
ACS officials said the man was captured on surveillance footage smoking a cigarette while looking at some of the dogs. He was later seen circling back to a kennel where a pit bull, named Pretty, was being held.
The man was seen on surveillance pulling out a dog leash, opening the kennel and leaving with Pretty.
An acquaintance of Lamicq had seen the photos on social media and alerted authorities.
Officers arrested the suspect at a home on Oriental Avenue before 3 p.m. Friday.
The pit bill was found in the home's backyard suffering from a suspected heat stroke and barely able to walk, ACS said.
The dog is receiving treatment at the ACS veterinary clinic, ACS said.
Two other adult dogs and six puppies were seized and additional animal-related charges are expected for the suspect, ACS said.
