SAN ANTONIO – Sen. José Menéndez returns to the Texas Senate after a first full term, having passed dozens of bills and securing millions of dollars to help Texas families, according to his biography.

The senator grew up working in his family's small business in San Antonio. In the Senate, Menéndez worked to fund the Alamo Colleges to build and develop support centers for veterans. He has worked on funding for the Alamo, Texas A&M San Antonio, and for parks in the city of San Antonio.

Menéndez is focused this session on protecting children from cyberbullying in the form of David's Law, named for a San Antonio teen who took his life after bullying events that escalated online.
