SAN ANTONIO – Public visitation for fallen firefighter Scott Deem will be held on Thursday night.
The visitation will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary located in the 1100 block of McCullough Ave.

This Friday, the San Antonio Fire Department will be leading an apparatus procession to Community Bible Church, where a funeral Mass will be held.
The apparatus procession will leave at 9 a.m. from Alamodome Lot B and will proceed up Highway 281 to the church at 2477 North Loop 1604 East.

The family procession will leave at 11 a.m. from Porter Loring and will pass the Alamo and proceed to the church for the 1 p.m. funeral.
"We are anticipating a large group of fire trucks from all over," San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood said. "We have had interest from fire departments across the country, and they will be staging their apparatus there starting later on today."
The public is invited to the funeral, but Hood said space and parking will be limited.
At the family's request, the burial will be private.
