Most people KSAT spoke to Tuesday afternoon said they hadn't heard about the man found dead and were saddened to hear the news.
"It's really sad to hear," said Stephanie Hammond, who traveled to the Comal River with her family. "We just showed up and we're hoping to have some fun in the Comal River, and that seems to be some things that happen whenever there are holidays and there are a lot of people getting together and there's a lot of fun. But you have to be really careful because there's a lot of accidents and stuff that can happen (during) the holidays."
The man's age and identity have not been released at this time.
