SAN ANTONIO – Two hundred families were served Saturday during the Soldiers’ Angels monthly mobile food pantry.

Soldiers’ Angels partners with the San Antonio Food Bank and The Channel Company to offer food to homeless and low-income veterans, as well as wounded service members in the area.

Thirty tablets and laptops were also given away with free IT training to attendees.

“Today we're giving them not only food from the mobile food pantry, we're also presenting them with IT devices,” said Heather Krauss, South Texas area director of Soldiers’ Angels.

Krauss said connectivity is very important for veterans today. Next month’s mobile food pantry is the one-year anniversary of the event.

The organization will be giving away at least 21 pallets of food.
