SAN MARCOS, Texas – Police in San Marcos are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon near the outlet mall.
Police investigators said a state trooper pulled over a Ford F-150 pickup on Interstate 35 near mile marker 197.
Someone inside the truck pulled out a gun and fired at the trooper, police said.
The driver then drove the truck into a field, where two people got out and ran off.
Authorities were searching for the pair Thursday evening.
