Timeline: San Antonio police officers killed in line of duty since 2000

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police Detective Benjamin Marconi, 50, is the 13th San Antonio police officer killed in the line of duty since 2000.

Marconi was ambushed just before noon Sunday in his patrol car. He was shot twice and died a short time later at San Antonio Military Medical Center.
