SAN ANTONIO – A Union Pacific train crashed into a car early Sunday morning on the city's near West Side.
Police said a man in his 20s who was unfamiliar with the area accidentally drove onto some railroad tracks on Cincinnati near Interstate 10.
The man drove about 70 feet and the car got stuck, police said. Seconds later, the man and a teenage passenger saw a train coming at them and they quickly jumped out of the car.
The train struck the car and pushed it about 70 feet onto the street, police said.
No one was injured.
The driver was cited by San Antonio police for having no driver's license and vehicle insurance and by Union Pacific for impeding train traffic.
