SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio’s Autorama is set to take place this weekend, March 24-26 at the Freeman Expo Hall.
One of the events will be a classic car auction, featuring vehicles from several local collectors, including the Chip Calcari Collection.
“Chip was a local to San Antonio and Boerne area collector. He passed way last year,” said Tiffany Kruse, from Dan Kruse Classics. "He just loved American muscle. So if it was American and it had a big engine in it, he was all for it," said Kruse.
Chip has 12 cars in the auction, including a 1964 Chevrolet 427 Corvette Coupe and a 1956 Chevrolet Nomad Wagon.
There will be about 170 cars up for auction this coming weekend.
"We're very inexpensive. We're here about relationships," said Dan Kruse, owner of Dan Kruse Classics. "Same people have been coming to us for 20-30 years. We've become a car family... We want it to be fun for everybody that comes."
