BOERNE, Texas – The Boerne Champion Chargers are looking for another district title and deep playoff run in the state playoffs
Champion won a share of the entertaining District 26-5A last season.
Head coach Keith Kaiser’s team returns seven starters from a team that finished 10–3 last season and advanced to the third round of the playoffs.
One of those starters is quarterback Davis Brin who passed for more than 3,500 yards last season and 30 touchdowns. The Tulsa commit also rushed for eight touchdowns.

The defense is led by end Taylor Posey and linebacker Jackson Pickett. Punter Cade Pollard is also being recruited by some of the top colleges in the country.
The schedule is filled with several big district games against Alamo Heights, Dripping Springs and Kerrville Tivy.
Champion opens its season on Sept. 1 against Prosper in Georgetown.
