SAN ANTONIO – Actor Chris Pratt is apparently a big fan of Tim Duncan these days, not necessarily because of his legendary career with the Spurs, but because of his baby daughter’s name.
Earlier this week, Duncan revealed in a podcast interview that his girlfriend Vanessa Macias recently gave birth to their new baby girl, who was named Quill.

Duncan said she was named Quill partly because of his affinity with the Marvel character Peter Quill.
Pratt plays Peter Quill, or Star-Lord, in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movies. Pratt tweeted to Duncan and wrote:
“Quill!! What an awesome name for a kid, let alone a daughter! Congrats Duncan family on the new bundle of joy.”
The tweet had nearly 600 retweets and more than 3,800 likes as of Thursday afternoon.

Duncan added Macias has a passion for writing so the name is like a pen quill, and has dual meaning.
