SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Spurs great Tim Duncan was back at the team’s practice facility Thursday a day after the Spurs arrived from the Bay Area.
The Spurs are down 0-2 in their best-of-seven series against the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.

Duncan has been a regular at Spurs practice this season and showed up before a pivotal Game 5 versus the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs.

Duncan was seen working out with Spurs post players LaMarcus Aldridge and Dewayne Dedmon. He also worked out with point guard Patty Mills.
Aldridge struggled in the Spurs Game 2 blowout loss, but said working with Duncan is good for him.
Aldridge then joked to the media that Duncan now talks too much, much more than when the two were teammates.
Aldridge was asked if he thought Duncan would be an NBA head coach one day and said, “for sure he will be.”
The other big news from Thursday’s Spurs practice was Kawhi Leonard's reported appearance at the practice facility.

Spurs forward David Lee said he talked to Leonard before practice, and center Pau Gasol said Leonard is working with the training staff to get treatment on his sprained ankle.
"He was sitting nicely on the sidelines,” Gasol said. “We have a good training staff. He’s working with them, trying to get that ankle right.”
Leonard was not on the practice floor during player interviews with the media, but was seen in the weight room with a member of the Spurs training staff.
Leonard’s status for Saturday’s Game 3 of the series remains unknown.
He was seen walking without a noticeable limp when the team arrived in San Antonio on Wednesday, but the Spurs have not released an official word on whether he would play.
