Motorcyclist critically injured in NE Side crash

Victim tried to avoid 18-wheeler on I-35, Space Center exit, police say

SAN ANTONIO – A motorcyclist was critically injured Tuesday morning in a crash involving an 18-wheeler and pickup truck.

Police said the motorcyclist was taking the Interstate 35 exit at Space Center from Loop 410 around 7 a.m. when he swerved to avoid the big rig, lost control and was hit by a pickup truck, police said.

The driver of the pickup did stop to help.

No charges are expected to be filed.
