Cooler temperatures for remainder of week

Temperatures to go back into 60s

No description found

SAN ANTONIO – South Texas had plenty of sunshine Tuesday in the Alamo City, with temperatures reaching the low 80s. We missed out on a record high, which was 85 degrees, set back in 1971, but 82 degrees was plenty warm for many.

On Tuesday night, a cold front will move through the area and make it feel a bit more seasonal. Mornings will be a bit colder on Thursday and Friday which will see temperatures drop into the 30s. Afternoons will be in the 60s with only a light jacket or sweater needed for those who are a bit more sensitive to the cooler air.

Expect mostly sunny skies through the end of the workweek with a few more clouds on Friday.

On Saturday, the clouds will take over as a weak disturbance moves through. It may lead to a few isolated showers and sprinkles. This will not be a washout, but the sunshine will be rather limited with gray skies and highs only in the mid-50s.

By Sunday, we will recuperate nicely into the 60s and sunshine will return quickly in the afternoon.

This trend will continue into next week as temperatures progressively get warmer, into the upper 60s to low 70s under mostly sunny skies.
