Storms slam North Texas with massive hail

Softball size hail causes signifigant damage

WYLIE, Texas – Storms slammed North Texas Monday afternoon and left a wide path of damage.

The storms rolled through Denton, Wylie and Plano just before the evening rush hour.

Home video shows just how large the hail stones were and the damage the storm did.

News Photographer Jake Shannon captured an intense hail storm outside of his home.

There have been no reports of injuries. But damages to Wylie Independent School District buildings forced the district to cancel classes on Tuesday.

This is the third hail storm to hit north Texas this spring. Many of the same communities hit in other storms were hit again on Monday. Previous storms caused nearly a billion dollars in damage.
