KSAT12, the Graham Media Group owned - ABC affiliate station in San Antonio is looking for a full time Television Maintenance Engineer.
In this role, the Maintenance Engineer will maintain equipment for KSAT 12 to include VHF Transmitter, microwave radio, HD-SDI routing and distribution systems, automated and non-automated production equipment, audio consoles, microphone and audio distribution equipment, ENG field acquisition equipment, ENG Live Truck, Microwave radios, office computers and software and any other Broadcast -related systems.
Responsibilities
· Must be able to support remote Live Production events, News and/or Weather events as needed.
· Must have knowledge of basic computer related skills.
· Work in a fast-paced news and production operation.
· Must possess and maintain a driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to the Company.
· Must be able to work weekends, nights, holidays and on short notice as needed.
· Reports to the Director of Technology.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Prior experience in Broadcasting and/or Broadcast IT preferred.
· Working knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems.
· Working knowledge of satellite RF systems, digital and analog television equipment, non-linear editing systems and ENG technical operations is a plus.
· Strong background in high power RF transmitters is a plus.
· Ability to utilize and operate electronic test equipment for the purpose of diagnosing and measuring electronic signals.
· A bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 years technical school, military training or college is preferred.
