Until fairly recently, the word "mom" was more likely to bring to mind a frumpy middle-aged woman in high-cut jeans than a sexy vixen in her prime. However, hot celebrity moms such as Heidi Klum and Angelina Jolie have proven you don't have to let your appearance slide in order to raise a family, cementing a certain inappropriate four-letter acronym -- you know the one -- into pop culture in the process.
Over the years, many TV moms have steamed up prime time, managing to preach family values while still oozing sexuality. These women truly founded the cougar craze, attracting men (and women) of all ages.

Although we'd love to give a shout out to all the hot moms who have graced our television sets over the years, we had to narrow it down to just five truly deserving candidates. To us, these are the top five sexiest TV moms of all time.
No. 5: Becky Katsopolis on "Full House"
Long before John Stamos tied the knot with sexy supermodel Rebecca Romijn, he landed another hot Rebecca as Uncle Jesse on the family friendly sitcom Full House.
After joining the family, Aunt Becky finds herself playing surrogate mom to the three Tanner girls and eventually has twin sons of her own.
Despite unflattering style trends of the late 1980s and early 1990s, actress Lori Loughlin manages to bring some major sex appeal to this decidedly G-rated program.
Long before grown men began counting down to the Olsen twins' 18th birthday, Aunt Becky was arguably the only female member of the Full House cast who warranted a second glance. More than a decade later, Loughlin is still one hot momma!

No. 4: Peggy Bundy on "Married ... With Children"

While her equally sexy daughter (played by Christina Applegate) may have stolen the spotlight from time to time, there's no denying that Peggy Bundy was the original hot momma. More recently, Sagal won an Emmy for her portrayal of a tough biker mom in "Sons of Anarchy."

No. 3: Gabrielle Solis on "Desperate Housewives"
If we were to take the time to list every sexy mom to ever appear on the small screen, most of the cast of "Desperate Housewives" would certainly make an appearance, but if we have to choose just one, Gabrielle wins hands down.
Of course, this isn't too shocking considering that sultry suburban housewife Gabrielle Solis is portrayed by Eva Longoria, an actress who frequently tops media lists as one of the sexiest women in Hollywood.
This housewife heated up suburbia during season one by having a steamy affair with her hunky teenage gardener. Although she goes through a bit of a frump phase while caring for her young daughters and temporarily blind husband, she eventually regains her former glory as the sexiest housewife and mother on Wisteria Lane.
As much as we love Gabrielle, and Longoria, our choice for the second sexiest TV mom is a real "killer" choice ...
No. 2: Rita Bennett on "Dexter"
While Rita Bennett (played by Julie Benz) has clearly demonstrated her poor taste in men (her first husband was an abusive drug user who went to prison, and her new love is a serial killer), she has also proven to be one sexy momma.
Sadly, her sex appeal and healthy libido are lost on her new husband Dexter, who unfortunately only gets off on shedding the blood of evildoers.
Nonetheless, viewers can still appreciate Rita's killer bod and innocent sensuality, and no one can deny that she's a stand-up mom who truly cares about her children.
Of course, that makes her all the more sexy.
However, while Rita certainly holds her own as one of the sexiest TV moms of all time, she's no competition for her Showtime co-star, who snags spot No. 1 ...
No. 1: Nancy Botwin on "Weeds"
Mary Louise Parker won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of a widowed mother of two who does whatever it takes to provide for her family, including dealing drugs and burning down her own house to hide the evidence.
We've seen her knock boots with a DEA agent (who winds up dead), her sexy marijuana grower (Conrad), and the mayor of Tijuana and crime boss Esteban Reyes (the father of her third child).
Who can resist a mom who likes to be spanked by her hunky crime boss boyfriend in the backseat of his car? It seems that even her own children can't resist her sex appeal, when in a disturbing twist to the fourth season's storyline, Nancy's youngest son develops a serious case of Oedipal complex after finding a Polaroid of his mom in her youth.
Thanks to America's growing lack of modesty, today's TV moms are so sexy that they'd make Carol Brady blush. But with actresses like Eva Longoria and Mary-Louise Parker playing the role of mom, who can complain?
