Chris Farley was a respected comedian who gained fame on Saturday Night Live.
Farley was found dead on Dec. 18, 1997 in his apartment in Chicago at age 33.

An autopsy later revealed the comedian died from a drug overdose of cocaine and morphine, similar to John Belushi who also died at 33 of a drug overdose.

Farley was originally the voice of Shrek, the ogre famously voiced by Mike Myers.
Almost all the lines for the movie were recorded before his death, according to CNN.
