SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre is hosting the first national tour of the musical comedy “Mean Girls”. From Aug. 9 to Aug. 14, you can indulge in this record-breaking adaptation of the cult classic film.
Based on the film by Tina Fey, the musical follows Cady Heron as she transitions from living on the African Savannah to an American High School.
Noah Blessing, a member of the production’s ensemble, spoke about what audiences can expect.
“The show has a really great message, I think, at the end. It’s kind of simple, but I think it’s something that can get lost on us as a society sometimes, which is just be kind to one another, and we’re all important and we all matter,” Blessing said.
April Josephine, an actor in the play, spoke about her experience embodying all three adult women (Mrs. Heron, Ms. Norbury and Mrs. George) in the show.
“To be there for the parents that are in audience, it’s been really lovely,” Josephine said.
