Texas’ own Matthew McConaughey is already having a busy start to 2023.

Deadline reported that “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan, Paramount Global and Paramount Network may be expanding the popular series — with McConaughey playing a lead role.

The franchise extension would continue the saga of John Dutton, but it’s unclear which of the current stars would move on to the new show, Deadline reported.

“We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of “Yellowstone” and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come. Thanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan, we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world he has built. Matthew McConaughey is a phenomenal talent with whom we’d love to partner,” a spokesperson with Paramount Network told Deadline.

The outlet reported that the “Yellowstone” series and Kevin Costner, who plays the patriarch of the family, have had disagreements over schedules.

Costner wanted to wind down shooting time to a week for the current season, but the network did not want to meet that timeline, Deadline reported. Sources said because of the disagreement, the show is moving in a different direction.

The show and McConaughey are reportedly in negotiations.

While his role with the Dutton clan is uncertain, the actor is voicing Elvis in “Agent Elvis.”

The animated show, which was created by Priscilla Presley and John Eddie, is premiering on Netflix in March.

It’s from the studio behind ”Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”
