During the sessions, the first floor of Stable Hall will turn into a game lounge with seats, cocktail tables and larger tables for families so guests can play lotería, or Mexican bingo.
People can play to win prizes, including Stable Hall concert tickets.
There will also be non-alcoholic drinks, beer, wine, and cocktails, as well as pre-packaged snacks like crispy dogs from Lala’s Gorditas, available for purchase.
The seating is first come, first served. The festivities are free, but those interested must RSVP online as space is limited.
Doors to Stable Hall will open at 11 a.m. each Saturday through May 4 (excluding April 13), and Stable Hall management will be available for informal tours at that time.
Lotería will begin at noon and live music will start at 2:30 p.m. The performance schedule includes:
- March 16 – Sonora Hechicera
- March 23 – Luna Tropical
- March 30 – Jose Amador & Terra Nova
- April 6 – Vanita Leo
- April 20 – Haile G & Tumbao Orquesta
- April 27 – Los de esta Noche
- May 4 – Pop Pistol
“As Stable Hall does not offer public tours of the space, these events offer a rare opportunity to enter the venue without a paid concert ticket for those who want to explore the 130-year-old building which has been transformed over the last 3 years,” a news release states.
San Antonio artist Gilbert Martinez, also known as “FOR REAL,” will also be on-site to sell original poster art.
The series is partnered with ¡Qué Sabor! San Antonio and supported by the World Heritage Office and Texas Public Radio.
