NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – The New Braunfels Police Department closed the investigation into Tejano legend Emilio Navaira's death Thursday after an autopsy revealed he died of natural causes.
Navaira died of cardiovascular disease, according to a report from Central Texas Autopsy.

He was found unconscious in his home by family members around 8:30 p.m. on May 16.
Navaira was not breathing and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
No signs of foul play were found, police said.
