SOUTH JORDAN, Utah – There are some moments in life that make you thank your lucky stars that video was around to record them.
Tannah Butterfield's special moment is exactly that.
A school security camera in South Jordan, Utah caught the moment when the 11-year-old was told she and her three siblings were finally being adopted.
Upon hearing the news from Jackie Alexander, a school official, Tannah leaps into her arms for a hug that never seems to end.
Butterfield's foster parents had been fighting to adopt the three children for a few years, and were finally granted permission by a judge.
"It's been hard to watch them fight this emotional battle." said Alexander in an Instagram post.
Alexander told KUTV that the news brightened a gloomy Monday that followed the tragic Las Vegas shooting massacre.
"To tell a little girl that she gets her family forever takes the cake. I can't even describe that hug," said Alexander. "Thank heavens her mom doesn't mind that I kissed her a million times, and a million more after the film cuts off."
