SAN ANTONIO – For 38 years, Good Time Charlie's has called San Antonio home.
Located at 2922 Broadway, the restaurant has many loyal customers.
"Everyone is my friend here," long-time customer William Dame said. "The food is always good here."
Millard Stetler and his business partner, Eddie Ruffo, have kept the place a go-to spot by adding variety to their menu.
"We have an assortment of burgers people love," Stetler said. "Our chicken fingers are really a top seller, hand battered everyday. We also sale a lot of fish, salads and fresh vegetables."
A menu item that has been around since the beginning has been the chicken fried steak. The same recipe has been used for years and the creamy gravy is made from scratch everyday, started at 4:30 in the morning.
"Tastes have changed over the years, but the chicken fried steak has stayed the same," Stetler said.
As the customers continue to stop by everyday, Good Time Charlie's looks to stick around for many more years to come.
"San Antonio is our home and we love the city," Stetler said.
