Austin-based Pluckers Wing Bar announced Thursday that they will open a San Antonio location in 2018 near the Forum.

In a press release on their website, the restaurant said, "No city is more vocal about its desire for a Pluckers than San Antonio. We are fired up about opening our first location and ready to get to work serving the best wings in Texas."

The suspense was brewing on social media since Wednesday afternoon, when the home to the restaurant, home of the spicy flavor favorite "Fire in the Hole," posted that they'd announce their 23rd location come Thursday.

But the restaurants' fans in the Alamo City have a bit of a trust issue. This isn't the first time plans were in the works for a San Antonio location.

In January 2015, the wing bar tweeted a politically-themed photo on the day of the gubernatorial inauguration that a San Antonio location would open that same year.

Months later when those plans did not come to fruition, Pluckers responded "can't trust politicians, man."

The desire for their food in the Alamo City was so great, an article was published on their website titled, "6 Amazing Places That Will Probably Get a Pluckers Before San Antonio."

Pluckers is known for their unique wing flavors, including Dr. Pepper, Bakers Gold and Gold Rush.

The restaurant will be in the Forum Pointe Shopping Center, near I-35 & Olympia Parkway. No official opening date has been set.

If you don't live near the northeast side, Pluckers says they plan to open more locations in the city.
