10 San Antonio restaurants make Yelp’s 100 places to eat in Texas

SAN ANTONIO – Ten San Antonio restaurants made it on Yelp’s list of top 100 places to eat in Texas.

The list was released on Monday and includes a variety of eateries, from food trucks to high-end restaurants.

The list was derived from ratings and reviews by Yelp users — rankings by everyday diners for everyday diners.

One San Antonio favorite, Comfort Cafe, was listed as the No. 2 place to eat in Texas.

Comfort Cafe, located at 2015 NE Loop 410, serves meals with a purpose. It operates as both a restaurant and a residential recovery center, Serenity Star Recovery, for people struggling with addiction. The restaurant serves meals on a “pay what you can” basis.

It was only beaten out by Paper Route Bakery in Austin.
