SAN ANTONIO – Bill Gates, the billionaire co-founder of Microsoft, is making a huge personal donation in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Gates will be donating $50 million to Dementia Discovery Fund and another $50 million toward Alzheimer’s research by way of start-ups.

“It’ll take probably 10 years before new theories are tried enough times to give them a high chance of success. So it’s very hard to hazard a guess (when an effective drug might be developed),” Gates said, according to Reuters.
