Does it work? Testing the Tree Dazzler

Device promises to illuminate Christmas tree

SAN ANTONIO – While toting her 4-year-old daughter, Jazzlyn, around, Abigail Medrano said she looks forward to the Christmas holiday and decorating the tree.

One thing she doesn’t look forward to, however, is untangling the strands of lights every year.

“They tangle up so much,” Medrano said. “It is a big hassle.”

Medrano was given the $40 Tree Dazzler to see if it worked. The machine promises a dazzling light show in seconds. The Tree Dazzler hangs on top of the tree as strands of lights cascade down.

Once it on the tree, there are 16 different settings to choose from.

Medrano said she liked that the bulbs are bigger, but for people with bigger trees you might need more than one machine.

While people can spend time weaving the lights into their tree, Medrano spent less than a minute installing the lights and both she and her daughter give the Tree Dazzler the thumbs-up.

The Tree Dazzler is only for indoor use and is sold at several drug, grocery and discount stores.
