SAN ANTONIO – Two people were arrested after stealing a tow truck and leading Bexar County Sheriff's Office deputies and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers on a chase overnight.
The chase began just before midnight when deputies spotted the truck at Waterwood Pass Drive near Elmendorf and Interstate 37 South.
Authorities said they followed the truck on I-37 South before it exited the highway. The tow truck then ran several red lights onto Goliad Road before finally onto South New Braunfels Avenue.

After exiting south New Braunfels Avenue the driver lost control and crashed into a cemetery fence located on East Commerce, police said.
The two suspects, a man and a woman, were taken into custody. No one was hurt in the incident.
