SAN ANTONIO – Before they were in front of the camera and giving you the news of the day, a lot of our KSAT anchors and reporters were just like you - only smaller.
This slideshow includes pictures sent in by them (so they're OK with this). Here are the stories behind the pictures:

Jennifer Dodd:
Jennifer's picture with her brother on a Halloween past is adorable, but she feels differently.
"I was about 8 and not happy at all because my mother made this outfit and made me wear it. I felt like a huge dork -evidenced by the look on my little 8-year-old face," she said.
Tim Gerber:
Tim's grandmother made the costumes you see in the slideshow.
"This was taken in 1977. My brother is Mickey and I was forced to be Minnie. I was nearly 3 years old, a few months older than my daughter will be this Halloween," he said. "I remember being mad I had to wear makeup on my cheeks. Boys don't wear makeup!! Who knew I'd end up with a job that requires makeup every day."
Charles Gonzalez:
Charles probably didn't have much say in his first Halloween costume, but he was one cute clown. He said he was "already preparing for a TV career by wearing makeup at a young age."
Charles went to the dark side, dressing as Darth Vader one year. "We were big into Star Wars. Can you tell?" he said.
Another year, Charles went as Dracula. "Let's face it, my hairline kind of makes that costume an easy choice."
Justin Horne:
Justin's costume may be the only one in this bunch that will make you hungry.
"This was a costume that my parents help me make and it won me the costume contest at my elementary school," he said. " My thinking was, at the time at least, who doesnt like McDonalds french fries? The fries, by the way, were made of cheap foam."
Leslie Mouton:
Leslie said she can't remember seeing a picture of a little Leslie in a costume, but she did find one from 2008 (proving she's young at heart). Leslie and her husband went as superheroes. He's not pictured, but went as Batman. Leslie was Batgirl.
"We were bat crazy," she said.
Pictured with Leslie is her friend, Jana, dressed as a groovy chick.
Mike Osterhage:
Mike didn't have a flashback photo for us. He did share one from 2010.
"Not my best work," he said. "I usually like to to glue on latex masks that I've made. This was strictly make up. If you look close, I have in my horror teeth that I made out of the same stuff as fake finger nails."
Now you know Mike's crafty!
Ursula Pari:
Casper was a friendly Ghost, but that's not why Ursula is wearing the costume.
"Since I was the fifth child out of six, that means I was the probably the fifth child to wear that costume and my little brother could be the sixth when it eventually fit him. All things in our family were handed down from older brothers to older sister, to me. My brothers jeans.. shirts.. and costumes marched down through the family every year. I remember being so excited when an older brother got a really cool Halloween or Mardi Gras costume because I knew it would eventually be mine to wear. This year, my kids and I enjoyed going online and buying or own costume what a luxury! Jackson will be a Zombie. Georgia will be a Black Fairty (dont ask). They insisted that I be a Harlequin Jester, whatever that is. Lets just say its a good thing Ill be wearing a feathered mask when I knock on your door!"
Matt Rivers:
Matt sent us two different Halloween costumes. In one, Matt is a vampire.
"I always had a thing for Dracula. I think I was a vampire about 5 times before age 11. My mom volunteered at a local haunted house doing makeup, so I always thought I had the best face makeup out of all of my friends," he said.
It may be hard to figure out the costume in Matt's other picture.
"In case you can't tell what I'm trying to be, I was supposed to be a ninja. But since it was raining outside, my Mom made me wear a raincoat over my SWEET ninja outfit. So all you could see was my hood and a black belt. I think I go down as the only ninja in history who had rolled-up flannel sleeves," he said.
Officer Marcus Trujillo:
He wears a police uniform on the air, but there may be a little bit of a ghoul in Marcus. He didn't give a year on his picture, but he's about 15. Marcus is on the left. To his right are his father, little brother and sister.
