SAN ANTONIO – Police responded to string of robberies at several restaurants within a matter of hours late Sunday night. A total of three restaurants were robbed, police said.
The first robbery happened at a Subway in the 8100 block of Fredericksurg Road. According to police, a man walked into the restaurant at around 9:40 p.m. after the restaurant was closed and held up the clerk at gunpoint.
Police said the robber also tied up the clerk in the back of the restaurant and took his belongings. The clerk managed to untie himself and call police.
Police have a vague description of the suspect and he remains at-large.
The second robbery took place less than an hour later around 10:30 p.m. at Fred's Fish Fry at 603 North Zarzamora.
According to police, a man pulled out a gun and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk was not hurt in this robbery, but the suspect did get away with some cash, police said. No arrest has been made.
The third robbery took place about 30 minutes later around 11 p.m. at a Mexican restaurant in the 7000 block of W. Military. Police have not released many details about this robbery. An arrest has not been made in in this case as well. Police don't think the three robberies are related.
