SAN ANTONIO – Veteran San Antonio police Officer Robert Bunnell, now a detective with the cold case unit, said the murder of 34-year-old Lynn Henderson was "one of the most brutal I've seen."
Bunnell said it appears Henderson tried to get away from her attacker, but couldn't.
He said her throat had been slashed.
A utility crew working in the area of Highway 90 & Hunt Lane came upon the assistant restaurant manager's partially clothed body on April 21, 1995.
He said a crucial piece of evidence could be Henderson's small white Isuzu truck that she was last seen driving two days before her murder.
The day after her body was discovered, Bunnell said her truck was found at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Horal where a couple was seen in the parking lot.

"There was an argument as they were walking away," Bunnell said.
He said he wants to know where else the truck had been in the days before Henderson's murder.
"In my opinion, that's the key to this case," Bunnell said.
In hopes of getting that information, Crimestoppers has doubled its reward to $10,000 for this week only.
Bunnell said someone will remember despite the years that have passed since Henderson's murder.

"If you know about the truck and you've heard about the case, you're going to know where that truck was," he said.
Bunnell urges they call 224-STOP where instead of providing their names, they'll be assigned a number.
He said, "At this point, I'm more interested in the information than who is giving it to me."
