SAN ANTONIO – The murder of local couple Consuelo Reynosa and Jesse Rodriguez, both 21, is still unsolved, some six months after their deaths.
Reynosa and her boyfriend were killed near Stacy's Sports Bar on Feb. 10, investigators said, and there have been no arrests in the case.
"It was a drive-by that happened right here on Interstate 10 and Fresno as they were leaving Stacy's," said Valerie Gonzales, Reynosa's older sister. "My little sister was a good person, graduated from school, everything. She was working, never got in trouble by the police, and still, there's no answers. All we want is answers to give her kids."
Gonzales said that Reynosa's children, now ages 4 and 5, are still asking about their mother.
For the family, it's been especially frustrating, because this is their second tragedy to go unsolved.
"I had a brother who was murdered nine years ago, and same thing -- no answers on him," said Gonzales. "We've called the detectives on that too, and I don't want to have two unsolved murders."
As the family's quest for answers continues, so does the police investigation.
The family says Crimestoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, and they hope that will be enough to entice someone to come forward.
"All we want is justice, some kind of answer," said Gonzales. "I know somebody knows something out there."
Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP.
