SAN ANTONIO – Eric Cashio, 26, who had recently left his job at a Quality Inn in San Antonio, is accused of returning and stealing televisions from some of the rooms.
San Antonio police said the owner of the motel notified them about the thefts Saturday. He told them that a total of five TVs were missing, according to an arrest affidavit.
Police said the theft was caught on surveillance video and showed a man, dressed in black clothing, somehow gaining entry through a door of the motel, then carrying out TVs.
The thefts took place on two different days last weekend, the affidavit stated.
The motel owner told investigators that he recognized the man in the video as Cashio, a former employee, the affidavit stated. Police arrested Cashio Tuesday on a theft charge.
